Terms of participation in the competition
and criteria for the film selection for
the 7th edition of WARSAW JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL 2009

THE FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS
SEPTEMBER the 15th , 2009.

Please fill in the application form with marked suitable category and submit it along with the film in NTSC/PAL: VHS / DVD / NTSC/PAL format on the address of the Festival on the 20th SEPTEMBER the latest.
The films which we receive after this date will be sent aside for the FESTIVAL next year or sent back to the applicants.

Only documentary films and fiction films concerning Jewish issues and realized after the year 2007 will be considered for the Festival and the competition screenings.

    films with the running time up to about 40 minutes:
  • short fiction film
  • short documentary

films with the running time longer than 40 minutes:

  • fiction feature film
  • documentary feature

The original and / or English subtitles list must be sent on the following e-mail address:

The application form and promotional materials in jpg/tif (no more than 20MB) can also be sent to:

Please send the preview copy for the official FESTIVAL selection in PAL/NTSC:
VHS, DVD format.

The Official Selection`09 will be announced on October THE 28th, 2009 on www.wjff.pl on
/ warsawjff@wjff.pl /

Once you are informed that your film has been qualified for the competition please send the screening copy in PAL / NTSC BETA SP and/or PAL / NTSC DVD format or/and 35 mm print and 16 mm print.

Should the film be in a non-English version please send a copy with English subtitles.

The owners of copyrights to the submitted film agree that the presentation copy of the film will be shown during the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival for free.

The owners of copyrights to the film agree that the some short part of their film with soundtrack could be use for the presentation material of the Festival and Festival clips.

The entry to the Festival is free.

Any films, which had previous screenings on any Jewish Festival in Warsaw, will be not accepted for WJFF.pl.

The organisers will not send back the materials for the selection unless an addressed envelope with a suitable stamp is included.

THE DAVID CAMERA AWARDS will be presented during The 2009 Awarding Ceremony.

The official 2009 JURY VERDICT will be announced after the Awarding Ceremony on /www.wjff.pl/ on AWARDS 2009.

Any royalties we transfer after each Festival.
